Rather than placing the client as the receiver of advice and strategies the SF approach sees the client as an active agent with the strengths and resources to reach out to their own solutions in making their own life.
This way of working avoids getting caught out by the scale and complexity of problems. Consequently it is well suited to people who seek to improve their capacity to support others without the need for in-depth medical, psychological or other professional training
SF practice, as SF Coaching and SF Brief Therapy, is about paying attention to what’s already going well, confirming and expanding it to improve peoples’ lives.
